Slaria Entertainment is a production company that specializes in television, new media, and short film works primarily in the fantasy and drama genres and was founded in 2021 by Emmery Maddens.
Meet Emmery Maddens
Emmery Maddens is the founder of Slaria Entertainment who currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
They were born in Nashville, Tennessee and moved to Athens, Georgia when Emmery was only 9 years old. This remained Emmery’s primary residence until they got accepted into Full Sail University in 2010 where they proceeded to get both their bachelor’s degree and their master’s in film production.
While attending Full Sail University for their B.F.A. in Film Production, Emmery worked as a professional assistant at FOX Corporation until December 2014. During this time, they started writing, developing, and creating Destinies. After creating this they quickly officially copyrighted their work with the U.S. Copyright Office as well as formally register the series with the Writer’s Guild of America. This began the beginning of a decade’s worth of hard work and dedication.
As Emmery was working towards their M.F.A. in Film Production, they completed a one-year Professional Internship with The Walt Disney Company directly followed by a one-year writing internship with NBCUniversal. Prior to their M.F.A. graduation Emmery began work as a staff writer for AMC Networks where they work for the next 3 years and 9 months. During this time Emmery came out as non-binary then proceeded to both legally and professionally change their name.
In the midst of the pandemic, Emmery took a leap of faith and left AMC Networks to begin work as a Senior Staff Writer in the fall of 2020. While working as a Senior Staff Writer Emmery officially founded and began works to open Slaria Entertainment. After over 2 years of work with The Walt Disney Company, Emmery left to officially put full faith in their own future to work full-time for themself.
